New Direction! Law School!

Yes, I know I haven't posted in the longest time, and so I am sure my fans have been in dire straits, but fear not! I'm back! Though I am now going to be taking this blog in a new direction. No longer will I be focusing solely on issues related to technology. Yes, I know it is a sad day for those of you who worshiped my great ability to discuss technology, but please, cheer up, because from now on I will be chronicling my life, the life of a college graduate intent on getting into law school.

Yes, this geek is going to law school! . . . hopefully that is. Now, none of you should know this, but I attended an undergraduate program that is very rare in this country, one of only three or so that meet certain similarities. One of the aspects of this program that isn't so rare is that for the majority of my classes, I received narrative evaluations in place of numerical grades. In fact I personally only took one class for a grade, and that was only because the professor was an idiot. So with one class, my average undergraduate GPA is a 3.00! Another aspect of this program that I participated in that is much more unique than receiving evaluations instead of grads is that I was able to design my own degree and title it.

So right now I have a self titled B.A. from a small liberal art's college, and a bunch of mediocre evaluations. Yeah, I wasn't the greatest fucking student. Why not? Why the hell would an intelligent student planning on going to law school let himself do shitty in college? Ah, now we get to the route of the problem. For the first two and a half years of college I had no idea what the hell I wanted to do. I only tentatively decided upon law school sometime during my junior year and finalized my decision during the first part of senior year.

So I'm working on upping my LSAT score, currently around a 158
Save Now, by attending a prep course by The Princeton Review. More on that in the next post. Eventually I plan on having posts chronicling my days and all of the mediocrity that that entails.

I'm back!

Hello all you crazy people out there! I'm back to writing again, was really busy with school and couldn't find the energy to write something not for a class. Currently looking for a summer job. I had a job canvasing for two days but hated it, and was going to quit at the end of my second day when they told me they were going to let me go, so I told them that was ok because I was going to quit anyway. Their reason for letting me go was BS, I didn't bring in enough money but I was put in dry spot's where the two veterans I was with didn't bring in the amount of money I needed to bring in to get hired anyway. Oh well, the job was horrible, never, ever do canvasing. Everyone hates you even if your cause is a good one.

I just got a call from Office Depot and have an interview with them Monday morning. I would really rather have a job at Gamestop but Office Depot will do, especially if I get to work in their electronics department or something. Both businesses have stores here at home and at school which is ideal because I want a part time job next school year. Well, wish me luck!

Bored

Its weird how the days seem to go by so slowly because I'm so bored but then I wonder where they went the next day. I guess when you don't really do anything day after day it feels like the days didn't really happen. Friday got a message from a detective in Salem, Oregon. Said they had found my laptop. It got stolen this summer. I've already replaced it but it would be nice to have it back, I could experiment with Linux. Hope the year starts off good for all you people out there, well except the bad people, I hope your days are shitty.

Another Nea Quote

Nea: "Freedom: What Americans say they have."

Nea Quote

Talking over AIM about stupid people:

Nea: "No I agree that stupid people make decisions that combat awareness."

I love that, combat awareness!

Wish List

This is the first of many wish lists. It will include both the more practical wishes, to the far flung, fanciful wishes wishing for things that don't even exist yet. This list isn't in any particular order.
1. New Car. Preferably a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution-I love speed and I love all wheel drive-but really a manual transmission car made after 2000 would work, or an old sweet car like a 1997 Toyota Supra or a 1967 Ford Mustang.
2. Top of the line Alienware gaming desktop.
3. Top of the line Alienware gaming notebook.
4. Top of the line Alienware extremely portable notebook.
5. Top of the line Alienware home entertainment computer and top of the line HDTV, sound etc.
6. Top of the line server
7. Logitech 505 Watt THX certified 5.1 surround sound speakers -old ones were stolen from my school's storage over the summer.
8. iPhone like phone built on open hardware and software.
9. Many more computer games.
10. Playstation 3
11. The ability to play a guitar, or at least the patients to learn.
12. The ability to write my final paper.
13. More to come, because I'm the kind of guy that wants a lot of things. Yeah, my life is all about possessions, yay go me.

PS. Having Google Adsense actually display ads related to my blog content would be good too.
